When a vehicle enters the garage the unit switches on shining a laser onto the bonnet of the car. The driver then just lines the laser up to the same place on the bonnet of the car each time they park guaranteeing that the garage door will close without hitting the rear of the car and also avoiding bumping the front of the vehicle.
