The Coleman LED Quad Lantern is considered by many outdoor enthusiasts as one of the best and most versatile lanterns for camping and outdoor use. One of the most unique and clever features of this LED lantern is how it combines an area light with four portable LED panels. You can remove any of the four LED panels and use them separately. Each of the four LED panels is a fully functioning light equipped with six, very bright white LED lamps. Each panel has its own rechargeable NiMH battery and an independent on and off switch. The NiMH battery recharges when the removeable panel is stored (re-attached) on the lantern base, and provides up to 1 1/2 hours of light on its own until needing a recharge.

The lantern base requires eight D-cell batteries (not included), which provide an approximate run time of 75 hours for the overall quad lantern. Other features include a main on/off switch located on top of the quad lantern, a wide illumination range of 26 feet, and a limited five-year warranty.

The Coleman LED Quad Lantern base can produce a brilliant 190 lumens of bright light when all four panels are attached. The lantern base requires eight D-cell batteries which will provide up to 75 hours of continuous lighting for the overall quad lantern. The on/off switch at the top of the quad lantern will turn all four panels on and off simultaneously. All combined, the full lantern provides an impressive wide-area lighting range of 26 feet.
