Kiss your loved ones over the internet

 

Normally when people are separated from their loved ones a phone call or web cam is the way to go, which typically ends with the “love you” followed by the blowing of a kiss. Well now you can go further and transmit a kiss to them via tactile communications.

Tactile communications is a new area of research which is being investigates at the Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications.  They have been working on a gadget that allows the user to position a hardware receptacle in their mouth and software converting their mouth and tongue movement to a connected device at the other end of a computer, therefore transmitting the feeling of a kiss.

Now it may not seem the most romantic device, as it is still missing some of the vital properties of a kiss, however the people from Kajimoto are working on them. Properties such as taste, temperature, breath, and moistness are all elements looking to be added.

Now I am personally not sure how useful this gadget will be, however frequent travelers and people in long distance relationships might find it to be a nice addition to their travel gadgets.
