The World’s Smallest Camera

World's Smallest Camera

The world is obsessed with everything miniature. Bulky handsets in the past are replaced with sleek smart phones. This obsession has also spread to the fashion industry where modest long skirts are now hemmed just enough to cover the necessary. The mini trend now includes cameras with the introduction of the World’s Smallest Camera.

The World’s Smallest Camera measures at one inch tall and one inch wide. It is the size of your index finger tip and yet it is able to capture images with the same quality of the larger cameras. Weighing at 28 grams, the World’s Smallest Camera is equipped with 2.0 mega pixels like most mobile phones with built in cameras. To take an image, you simply touch the shutter button which is located on the right side of the camera.

On top of that, it is also capable of recording videos at 30 frames per second and with 640 x 480 resolutions; which is pretty acceptable for a camera the size of a marble. To ensure that you do not lose your precious camera, the World’s Smallest Camera also comes with a wrist lanyard.

Pictures and videos taken with the World’s Smallest Camera are stored in a 2GB memory card. Contents of the memory card can be transferred easily to your laptop or computer with the help of a USB cable. It is powered by a rechargeable battery that can last for 30 minutes with a one hour charging period. But 30 minutes of operation should be sufficient for the secret intelligence officer that is going to use this microscopic device.

Samsung NX200

If you are looking for a decent standalone point-and-shoot camera for that occasional million dollar shot moment, the Samsung NX200 may be the prime candidate to suit your needs. When it comes to image capture, the integrated capabilities in your iPhone or whatever phone you are using are still unable to match that of a digital camera worth its salt, and although the NX200 does not come from a company who has strong historical roots in the industry, it certainly does follow the convention above.

Now, to get down to the technology offered, the Samsung NX200 offers DSLR imaging quality in a far less bulky form factor. The reason why it is able to do that is the 20.3 megapixel ALS-C CMOS sensor developed in house. If you have no idea what that means for you, in laymen terms; you will be getting exceptionally good quality pictures at a lower price point. For that occasional home video, you also have the capability of capturing video clips at a respectable 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30 frames per second. Not bad considering the fact that it is only a compact shooter you are purchasing.

Lastly, the well-made metallic body of the gadget also enables it to take more than its fair of share of punishing in case you are a, ahem, highly demanding user. No more worries about scratches on the camera’s body whenever you bring it outdoors or to any less than ideal environment.

Canon all-new PowerShot Trio

Speaking of cameras, I bet everyone is familiar with the brand name Canon. From common compact digital cameras to professional shooters DSLRs that are used for professionals and enthusiasts, Canon has made its mark in the camera industry. Recently, Canon introduced their three new additions to their PowerShot digital camera range. The three designed-to-impress PowerShot compact cameras are the PowerShot SX150 IS, the PowerShot ELPH 310 HS, and the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS.

The similarity of the trio is that all of them are made to be able to cope with a variety of shooting situations easily and accurately. Besides, they are able to capture fantastic still images as well as high-definition videos. The PowerShot SX150 IS, the PowerShot ELPH 310 HS, and the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS sport 12x optical zoom, 8x optical zoom and 12x optical zoom respectively. All of these cameras come with a 28mm wide-angle lens.

Besides that, they are also packed with the new Canon Intelligent IS system. Hence, they will be able to produce crisp images that are free from distortion in different shooting conditions. The IS enables the cameras to automatically switch to the mode that optimizes image stabilization.

The Canon PowerShot ELPH 310 HS and the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS got their names from the Canon’s famous HS SYSTEM incorporated into their bodies. HS stands for handling shooting, so this system enables ability of handling shooting in digital cameras, particularly in low light conditions. Also, as claimed by Canon, the PowerShot ELPH 510 HS digital camera is also the thinnest camera in the world.

Digital Underwater Camera Mask

Digital Underwater Camera Mask

Underwater diving is beautiful. The big shame is that you are unable to share with other people the wonders and joy of swimming with the fishes. However, what if I told you that you are able to take photos and record videos of your adventures in the underwater world? With the Digital Underwater Camera Mask, such a thing is now possible.

All you have to do is pop it on and you can start taking wonderful videos to share with those on dry land. You can even take photographs with this thing. If you are wondering about the quality, let me tell you that it is absolutely gorgeous. You will really feel as if you are right down there when you have a look at the graphics and pictures.

What I love best about the Digital Underwater Camera Mask is that you can easily transfer files once you are done with your picture taking and video recording. It has a USB slot for ease of transfer and you can even recharge the Underwater Camera Mask via USB as well. Isn’t that handy and amazing? The best thing is that you do all this without the need to hold anything in your hands. So you are really just taking photos and videos as what you are really looking at when you are underwater.

If you are wondering how far you can go with the Digital Underwater Camera Mask, the guaranteed depth would be 15 feet or 5 meters. Unfortunately, the technology is not quite ready for deep sea diving at the moment. However, the Underwater Camera Mask definitely spells good fun for snorkeling and pool use.

Rollei Bullet HD

Do you like taking videos but hate having to lug all the equipment around with you all the time? Well, I am the same. I take tons of videos everywhere I go but wish for the day when I can buy a video camera which is small yet packs a punch. If you are like me then it looks like our wish has happily been granted. Welcome the Rollei Bullet HD Action Camera.

You might wonder why it has such a funny name. After all, when you think about taking videos, a bullet surely never crossed your mind. Well, like its namesake, the Rollei Bullet HD Action Camera ia small and shaped like a bullet. The result is the ability to shoot quality videos – 720p video resolution! – Yet can be brought all over the place without the fuss of extra wires or other devices.

It also comes with 12-megapixel CMOS sensor and microSD slot. Don’t worry about memory space though because you will be able to get up to 32GB of space on this thing. Even though small, it is definitely not fragile. Just like a real bullet, it is tough and you can bring it all over the place. You can even clip it to your helmet! It’s encased in aluminum so you don’t have to worry much about shocks and spills in a thing this small.

Go ahead and indulge in a little video taking. It retails at $350 which for me is a huge bargain. If you love shooting videos, the Rollei Bullet HD Action Camera is definitely a must buy item!
