The Document And Object Digitizer

You may be familiar with normal flatbed scanners, and may use them on a daily basis to transfer hard copy documents to your computer. However, the Document and Object Digitizer not only can scan documents, but can even scan any kind of object into digital form, which is pretty impressive. The Document and Object Digitizer is a desktop device using USB connection. What makes it special is that it can capture digital images of three dimensional objects that definitely cannot be scanned using traditional flatbed scanners.
After installing the software (compatible with Windows 7, XP and Vista) which is included when you purchase the document and object digitizer, you can control this USB device using your computer. The image sensor built in the 9” long digitizer bar on the top of the Document and Object Digitizer will then capture a digital image of the subject that lies beneath it. The 5 megapixel image is captured in just one second, which is few times faster than any document scanning process using typical scanners.
The Document and Object Digitizer has 10 white LEDs with adjustable brightness control, so that illumination can be provided for optimal exposure. In order to ensure that the results are always fool proof, the digitizer and the subject (document or object) will be aligned on a reversible non-slip guide each time. Besides, when documents are scanned, the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capability of the digitizer can convert the documents into editable text files, which is a great feature.
Another advantage seen in the Document and Object Digitizer is that it doesn’t take up much space, unlike typical scanners. This is because when it is not in use, the scanning head of the device can be folded flat to stay out of the way. As a result, it will not occupy more area than a coffee mug.

If you are one of those who devoted their life to the thrills of catching planes and hopping from country to country, you are sure to understand the frustration of carrying a bundle of the most up-to-date mobile devices with no battery life. Being one the largest provider for mobile devices, Samsung understand your frustration.
Samsung is showing the world how serious they are about ensuring their customers to stay connected with their newly designed charging station. The new lifesaver will first show up at Ronald Regan Washington National Airport. The One-stop Power-up Station will house six electrical 120 volts outlets (U.S voltage), a couple of USB charging outlets and four micro USB mobile phone charging plugs. 20 of these sleekly designed stations will be installed throughout the terminals of Ronald Regan Washington National Airport. It is also equipped with a touchscreen monitor that offers news updates, weather reports corresponding to your destination, games (that’s what I want to hear), flight status (in case the airport’s flight status screen goes black), and a “What’s New” tab where you can check out the latest innovations by Samsung.
Although Ronald Regan Washington National Airport users were the first to experience this new excitement, never ever think that Samsung would neglect their consumers from other regions. Over 500 charging stations have been installed at various locations that include a dozen of major airports, major colleges, the Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN, and The Las Vegas Convention Center. Now that’s one cool way to show their love to customers.

Knock on wood I have not had problems with my eyes that glasses or contact lenses could not correct. However for some unfortunate people, and we are talking in a lot of cases about the elderly, their vision deteriates so much that they need a little bit more help; this is where the Maggie Pro 3-inch LCD magnifier will come in handy.
The Maggie Pro is a small credit card sized device that can magnify details otherwise unreadable to the user. Typical uses would be to read fine print on newspapers, bills, receipts or even instructions on medicine containers. Specifically, it allows for high manification of 11x actual real life size, down to 8x, 6x, and finally 4x actual size. Two built in LEDs control the brightness setting, this can be adjusted depending on how much natural light is available, this would depend on whether you were indoors or outside
Power to the LCD magnifier is supplied by a lithium-ion battery that can be charged in two ways; via a USB lead plugged into the computer or a charger that connects to a socket. A full charge last 3.5 hours.
The best feature of the Maggie Pro 3-inch LCD Magnifier is so simple to use that you cannot go wrong. Simply switch it on and start reading, even the least geeky people in the world will be available to use it. The unfortunate news is that the Maggie-Pro 3-inch LCD Magnifier will cost you over $200 to buy, available from the X-Treme Geek website.
