MultiSync E222W LCD monitor was unveiled by NEC which is another ECO friendly monitor that carries an ERGO Design adjustable stand that can prove to be very effective for those people who are in search of eco-friendly visual solutions.  This monitor is equipped with a power mode which is believed to reduce the power consumption and heat generation. The inclusion of intelligent power management and off timer in this monitor really makes it worth its money as it will further save energy and drastically reduce the emission of carbon dioxide whenever the E222W goes on a low power state or when it shuts down automatically when on but when it is not in use.

Forget the concept of windows with OLED Wallpaper

Toshiba as always has done it again. If there is any company that knows how to make reel into real, it definitely is Toshiba. And this time again they have given a concept that is indeed out of the world. If you wondering whose brain works so fast and thinks such extraordinary concepts then again all the applause for selecting commendable executives goes to Toshiba. This time the company is busy creating something called an OLED, i.e., the Organic Light-Emitting Diode. Its an ultra thin display which the company claims can be used as a wallpaper for you home and thus transforming a mere wall into television. Now that sounds interesting. Isn’t it?

Lets see how it actually works. Nano particles get self assembled in the wallpaper that fabricates discordants that are immensely fine and are further used to redirect light which this wallpaper uses. But it seems that the commercial production of these wallpapers wont take place in the near future because of the extraordinary technology. Well definitely that can be disappointing as the entire project seems so intelligent that its difficult to resist the temptation of having a OLED wallpaper in your house. Just imagine when this OLED wallpaper will actually hit the market, how would be the scene like??? There would be no need to select a color for your wall. You could have an entire garden scene in your drawing room wall giving the feel of a big garden outside. No needs to get cartoon painted in your kids’ rooms walls when the entire Disney world can keep moving over the wall. And your wife always wanted a bright sunny morning to inspire her to cook?

Well, with OLED wallpapers, she could have whatever she wanted in her kitchen wall. Feels like living a dream??? Well one day with more advancement in technology, you will indeed live this dream. All it would take is some more patience.

Soundshelf: a combo of great music and a place for DVDs

Gone are the days when you had to remove your books, DVDs, VCDs etc from the shelf and place your music system and its speakers. Now when you put your speakers on a shelf, it will in itself act as another shelf to keep your things, mainly designed to keep books and CDs and DVDs.

Soundshelf sounds a great and very amusing idea because in today’s world, when space is such a problem, its nice to have something handy. Soundshelf would at least ensure that one need not worry about where to put speakers of his music system and where to put other stuff.

Crafted by designers form Poland, Soundshelf is an intelligent gadget and quite useful in every household. Anielka Zdanowicz and Witek Stefaniak, designers of Soundshelf believe that its useless to keep your music system speakers in one spot when the speakers can actually be functional and add beauty to the room. As a piece of furniture that stores books, CDs and DVDs, makes the speaker apt for a modern house and the best part is it goes extremely well with the décor of any room. After all its difficult to have both a good quality amplifier and a modern looking bookshelf together!!!

Although it’s a mere concept at present and has a long way to go it seems. It promises to be a sleek, combined shelf that one can put in the living room. But the pictures are not appearing to be that promising. May be with a little bit of added features and designs it may end up into a great gizmo. But indeed needs more work on the aesthetics.

Indeed a great thought but not have been implemented in a very polished manner. The gadget requires some more class. Nonetheless, so all those who loved the idea have still to wait for some more time because it’s not mentioned when this Soundshelf is actually going to hit the market shelves!!!

Bandai’s Diorama Speaker

Here is a set of speakers with a difference. Japanese firm Bandai have taken a standard set of speakers and designed it with a 3D version of the Ginza district of Tokyo as in 1955 on the top.

Featuring 2×1W speakers a limit of 2000 copies are being made so if you want one you have to get there fast. Included in the design are LED light sources, moving parts, and of course sound effects. Unfortunately the one down side is the price, i.e. $2,200 – I’ll stick with the ones I have for now.
