If you are someone who stubbornly refuses to wake up no matter how loud or how long your alarm clock rings, then you will definitely be rudely awakened by the Thunderclap Alarm Clock. Not just your normal alarm clock, the Thunderclap Alarm Clock can bet set by up to 113-decibels.
If you’re not sure how loud that can be, then think “thunder” and you have a pretty good idea. If you’re worried about how it might affect your hearing after continuous usage, the 113-decibel range is just the maximum you can go. Set the alarm to different decibels which are most suitable for you.
I love this alarm clock because it is not your usual run of the mill clock. Instead of just relying on the use of loud sounds to get you up, you can also pre-set LED lights to flash on and off when the alarm is coming on. Does that scare you enough to want to wake up in time? Are you still asleep after the alarm AND the flashing lights? Well, the set also comes with a vibrating pad that you can place under your mattress. Think thunder and earthquake and catastrophe and you’ve got a pretty good image in your head of how it will be like to be awakened by the Thunderclap Alarm Clock!
For only $34.95, I think it is definitely a bargain. After all, not only are you investing in an alarm clock, you are saving in time spent on struggling to get up and finding yourself late numerous times.

If you have a friend who is a total bookworm and has amassed many books in her life, then I have the perfect gift recommendation for her. Let me introduce to you the Rotating Bookcase. If you have never heard of it before, you will be tickled pink by the features on this cute little bookcase. It is able to rotate at 360 degrees which means that your bookcase is the one thing that moves around and not you. You won’t have to wriggle your way around the bookcase in order to find the book that you want.
What I love about the rotating bookcase is the fact that it is small and so can fit perfectly into any corner of your room. It is even perfect as a side table. Yet for its relatively tiny size, it is manufactured in such a way that you can actually place quite a number of books on it. I have not tested this fact yet but the product description does promise that this rotating bookcase can hold twice as many books as other bookshelves which are of the same size.
It basically is made up of two 11 inch shelves and divided into eight separate compartments which means that you can easily organize all your books according to genre or author. At $199.95, you are definitely getting the better end of the bargain because this little rotating bookcase is space friendly yet effective in keeping your books in neat piles. Get this for your bookworm friend and she will be grateful to you for life!

Phantom Keyless Home Entry

The Phantom Smart Home Hands-free Keyless Home Entry is a new system developed to allow Bluetooth enabled cell phones to be used as a key to enter a door. It does this by detecting an authenticated Bluetooth connection to unlock the door thus reducing the need to reach into your pockets for a set of keys.
The benefits to the Phantom Smart Home keyless system is that if you are approaching the front door for example carrying some shopping you do not need to put it down to be able to enter. Just simply walk up to the door and the connection between the Phantom Smart Hands unit and the phone will unlock the door.
Some other benefits to this system is that most people take their cell phone wherever they go so instead of having to take keys and a phone you only need to take your cell phone. Traditionally multiple keys can be cut and supplied to people living in the house. In this instance multiple phones can be used as a key for the same door, simply pair it up with the Phantom unit and its good to use.
This gadget from a personal point of view is a really great idea. While carrying keys is not much of a problem for me, trying to find the right key and placing it in the lock whilst drunk can seem like the most difficult task in the world. (If anyone else has experienced this leave a comments just so I know I am not the only one.)
If you are worried about security of other mobile phones being able to open the door using Bluetooth technology then fear not. The Phantom keyless system can only be used with a mobile phone that has previously been paired with. Also, once the door has been opened the Phantom unit automatically locks the door thus keeping any would-be thieves from entering.
What happens if your phone is lost or stolen? All you need to do is reset the Keyless Home Entry and revoke access via that cell phone. This is a far easier process when compared with traditional method of having to get new locks and keys cut should you lose a set of keys.
You also need not worry about the installation of the Phantom security system. All it takes is one hour with simple DIY skills and tools. The system is compatible typical door handles and locks and works with your existing security hardware. All it costs is $198.

The Googly Eyed Clock

If you ask someone what they use a clock for, chances are you would get the reply: to tell the time. However, what if I told you that there is a product which is a clock yet confusingly would take you a while to be able to tell the time? Would you still think that it is suitable to be called a clock? Pardon me if I am not making any sense but I’m just bowled over by this Googly Eyed Clock. While not a very good clock – like I said earlier, it is pretty difficult to tell the time – but it certainly is hilarious.
What you have is a rectangular, white clock which has two giant eyes in front. How do you tell the time with it? Well, the left eye actually denotes the hour while the right eye goes by the minute.
They rotate as the time goes by so you will pretty much be left chuckling at the sight of two weirdly askew eyes staring back at you when you want to know the time. After a while, you do get used to the googly eyed motion or at least sufficiently enough to be able to guess the time. Either way, you are going to have some fun with the Googly Eyed Clock.
Have some fun with the Googly Eyed Clock and put it in your office. If all else fails, you will definitely draw lots of chuckles from your colleagues which will help lessen the stress. It makes a very good birthday present as well!
