Households these days tend to have an abundance of digital items that require remote controls to operate them, for example TV’s, DVD’s, Sky+ boxes, etc. This means there can be many remotes in the same room and finding the one you want is not always as easy as it seems. I for one know this is the case as only a couple of months ago one of my remotes went missing. Whilst the idea of a universal remote is nothing new and the using of an iPhone as a remote is not either, the process by which individual rooms with devices can be customized on the iPod or iPhone is a great feature. For example you may want to set a location as your bedroom. In a bedroom you may have a TV, DVD player, Blue-ray player, or CD player, all these can be added to your iPhone/iPod remote and turned on and controlled at the same time.
