Electrolux Wind and UV Rays Dishwasher

Ultra Violet light has long been used for sterilizing equipment, for this reason it has been proposed that it could be beneficial to kitchen devices such as dishwashers to aid cleaning and prevent the spread of bacteria. The Electrolux Wind Dishwasher utilizes this technology in its three step cleaning procedure. Step one produces a high pressure air flow which is passed over dirty dishes to remove left over food. The second step is to steam the plate to remove the more difficult greasy stains before the final step of UV sterilization.
Two things concern me about the Electrolux Wind and UV dishwasher, firstly its very small. From the picture you can see only two plates getting cleaned at once. This dishwasher therefore is very impractical unless you live by yourself and very few dirty dishes. Secondly, I think this gadget must use more power and water per cycle load of dishes. For example if you think how many dishes you can position and clean in one average dishwasher cycle then compare that tok how many cycles you would need to run on the Electrolux dishwasher to clean the same load of dishes then the Electrolux seems inefficient to me.
We must not get forget that this is a concept, and in that it seems a pretty nice idea. Nevertheless let’s hope they can expand the idea to a full size dishwasher whilst keeping the cost down as well. Good luck!

I love gadgets for the home, i.e. anything that makes life easier is a must have gadget in my opinion. Today’s home gadget is for the kitchen and its called the Demy Digital Touchscreen Recipe Reader. Now I have to admit, I am not the best cook in the world but I will try and can rustle something up if I follow a recipe book. The Demy Digital Touchscreen Recipe Reader is able to store thousands of recipes on its digital memory which can then be selected via the touchscreen interface and displayed on its 7″ screen. The Digital Recipe Reader gets delivered with 250 recipes pre-loaded with the capacity to add up to 10,000 from the keyingredients.com website.
One thing I was worried about when I read about this gadget was whether the high resolution color touchscreen display would get dirty with fingerprints, oil, salt, etc. however it is highlighted that the Demy is able to be used in unpredictable and often messy kitchen environments having been cleaned with a soft damp cloth.

I like my toast or cereal in the morning, however everynow and then I feel like having an egg either a soft boiled or hard boiled. The problem I have is with timing, I can never remember how long you cook them for. This is where the BeepEgg timer can help me. This small kitchen gadget offers an ideal solution, simply place the device in the pan with your eggs and it will notify you by playing a song; such as singing “Killing Me Softly†for a soft-boiled egg and other songs for medium to hard boiled eggs. The only way to stop the BeepEgg from playing is either to remove it from the hot water and place it in some cold water to cool it down, or hope the batteries run out.

BeepEgg Features:
- Temperature controlled egg timer
- Plays melodies when eggs reach desired hardness
- To stop the melody put BeepEgg in cold water
- Perfect for Medium and Large Eggs, for XL eggs add 30 seconds
- Store BeepEgg with your real eggs

Have you ever imagined that someday a gadget would be produced that not only recycle your home trash but also remind you of Recycle Day???
All-In-One Recycling Center, a design by Modeâ„¢ Products, which crafts inspirational and novel houseware products, has been revealed recently. All-In-One Recycling Center gives a new definition to home recycling by being extremely serviceable yet not exceeding the measurement of a regular kitchen garbage bin.
The Modeâ„¢ All-In-One Recycling Center is designed keeping in mind how challenging this process of recycling is, undoubtedly the most correct thing to do. This stylish gadget not only gets rid of the mess of cans, bottles and paper, but works in a very systematic manner. Its first step involves sorting out paper amongst rest of the things like plastic, metal and glass and then follows up to locate a place where it can keep the stuff. This way it eliminates the chances of spilling over the recyclables while sorting them out and separating which we usually manually do.
The Modeâ„¢ All-In-One Recycling Center is an extraordinary design which supports two baskets enabling the user to keep the recyclables in them for sorting and storing purposes. The best part about these bins is that now the floor space and countertops of the house can be saved. Also, these bins are beautifully made in stainless steel and highly finished black gloss. What more can we have asked for???
But still that is not enough. Its compaction system crushes upto 2 litres of bottles, cans of aluminum; ½ gallon jugs along with storing minimum trice what a normal recycle bin holds. All this does not even require an electrical channel. The Mode™ All-In-One Recycling Center simplifies the process of recycling by compressing and arranging the waste in a single unit and later removing it. To add to it, The Mode™ All-In-One Recycling Center supports a digital alert that further helps in picking up.
Available at $249.95 the Modeâ„¢ All-In-One Recycling Center lets you serve the surroundings by doing your part as well.

Most of the parents check the temperature of milk to be given to their child by putting a drop at the back of their hands, the skin there being the most sensitive. But surely temperature sensitive baby bottle is going to change the trend!!!
Definitely a must to have for all parents, this temperature sensitive baby bottle is designed by artists Tzu-Wei Wang, Tzu-Yu Huang, Yu-Wei Xiang and Hung Cheng. This amazing concept of feeding bottles has even fetched the prestigious Red Dot award in the year 2008 for their extraordinary contribution in the field of design.
With the help of temperature sensitive baby bottle, one can easily judge how warm or cold the baby milk is and can easily ensure that the temperature is just accurate for your kid’s feed. This is a pretty reliable and logical method of determining the right temperature, unlike its counterparts which had no technology to back them.
Based on thermochromatics, it has got cartoon face of a kid printed with anti-forgery ink, which turns to green colour and starts smiling when the milk temperature is 38 degrees, indicating that it’s the right temperature for your kids milk and when the temperature touches 45 degrees, the baby face starts crying and becomes red in colour signifying that the milk needs to be cooled down for the baby’s feed.
This extraordinary design is yet in books only or we can say just a design concept yet and has not come in the real market till date. So all the parents who got excited after reading this column have to wait patiently for some more time and till then would have to continue handling the baby’s protests against the wrong temperature milk.
Indeed, if you are a first time mommy and daddy, then surely temperature sensitive baby bottle has been designed keeping you in mind. So all the parents of tiny tots out there pray for this gadget to come in market soon to your rescue.
