Most parents check the temperature of milk to be given to their child by putting a drop at the back of their hands, the skin being the most sensitive in that spot. But surely this temperature sensitive baby bottle is going to change the trend!

Definitely a must to have for all parents, this temperature sensitive baby bottle is designed by artists Tzu-Wei Wang, Tzu-Yu Huang, Yu-Wei Xiang and Hung Cheng. This amazing concept of feeding bottles has even fetched the prestigious Red Dot award in the year 2008 for their extraordinary contribution in the field of design.

With the help of temperature sensitive baby bottle, one can easily judge how warm or cold the baby milk is and can easily ensure that the temperature is just accurate for your kid’s feed. This is a pretty reliable and logical method of determining the right temperature, unlike its counterparts which had no technology to back them.

Based on thermochromatics, it has got cartoon face of a kid printed with anti-forgery ink, which turns to green colour and starts smiling when the milk temperature is 38 degrees, indicating that it’s the right temperature for your kids milk and when the temperature touches 45 degrees, the baby face starts crying and becomes red in colour signifying that the milk needs to be cooled down for the baby’s feed.

This extraordinary design is yet in books only or we can say just a design concept yet and has not come in the real market till date. So all the parents who got excited after reading this column have to wait patiently for some more time and till then would have to continue handling the baby’s protests against the wrong temperature milk.

Indeed, if you are a first time mommy and daddy, then surely temperature sensitive baby bottle has been designed keeping you in mind. So all the parents of tiny tots out there pray for this gadget to come in market soon to your rescue.

Boogie Woogie Salt and Pepper Shakers

It is too soon to discuss about this amazing Bogie Woogie Salt and Pepper shaker, which will be available in the market only by this March. Yet its sounds so interesting that it is highly inevitable to hold ourselves back from talking about this wheeled cart like salt and pepper shakers.

For just knowledge for those who dont know what we are actually talking about here, Salt and pepper shakers are basically holders for grounded pepper and salt, crafted to keep and dispense to the next recipient sitting with you on the dinning table.

Forget passing on salt and pepper over the table when you would be able to just toss them, leaving everything else on its wheels to work for you. With the mega sluggish generation on the corner, Boogie Woogie Salt and Pepper Shakers serve as the perfect kitchen gadget that one was just waiting for. I am just wondering if we would have to change the phrase, Please pass on Salt and Peeper!

That’s not all. You can still expect more from this extraordinary Bogie Woogie Salt and Pepper shaker. It is made of anodized aluminum and possesses wheels of synthetic material to suit your design requirements and cheer up the atmosphere at your kitchen tables. What more? Each has been provided with a pair off of headlights by its designers, so next time you plan to eat a small snack at midnight, this will surely do the trick.

Not much about Bogie Woogie Salt and Pepper shaker is known as yet including its prices. We are hoping for it to be affordable, so that someone who has a hobby of collecting salt and pepper dispensers does not have to be disappointed.

But surely it would be a bad news for all those looking for table manners because Bogie Woogie Salt and Pepper shaker are made to have some fun. You can just toss them over, rock and roll with them, do anything you want but keep next to your recipient on the table. So all those concerned parents who are trying to teach their kids with some etiquette, this one is not for you!

Ultrasonic Vegetable Cleaner

I know from first hand experience how good ultrasonic baths are at cleaning stuff, typical example that comes to mind is jewelry. But do you know that there are ultrasonic baths that can be used for cleaning foodstuffs such as vegetables? I didn’t until I came across the Ultrasonic Vegetable Cleaner product at Hammacher.

The technology behind it is nothing new, i.e. ultrasonic waves are passed through the liquid (water) and dirt is broken off and whatever was placed in comes out clean. Featuring a 3 3/4 gallon water reservoir the Ultrasonic Vegetable Cleaner can clean 8-12 large potatoes or other items required for cleaning. The cleaning cycle takes just 10 minutes, although I presume a quick blast of between 2-3 minutes will be sufficient for most items.

The vegetable cleaning device does have three settings however labeled, fruit and vegetables, corn, and dishes. Dishes I hear you ask? Yeah if your unfortunate enough not to own a dishwasher and have some really stubborn dishes that wont get clean with conventional washing up just bung them in the Ultrasonic bath and 10 minutes later they will be as good as new.

The Ultrasonic Vegetable Cleaner looks like another nice addition to the kitchen gadgets wish list, although I can see the price tag putting a lot of people off. What do you think?

Trebuchet Toaster

Trebuchet Toaster

Part of Ivo Vos’s “Brunch” collection, the Trebuchet Toaster is a toaster with a difference. This retro toaster not only allows you to produce toast just the way you like it but allows you to catapult or trebuchet your toast. A trebuchet is a siege engine that was employed in the Middle Ages either to smash masonry walls or to throw projectiles over them – Thanks Wikipedia) toast.

Why would you want a toaster with this concept? Well I don’t really know but I can imagine it might be fun using the calibration feature to calculate the trajectory and force of the toast in order to hit the intended target, i.e. the plate.

Not sure when or even if this product will be commercially available, but if it is released then making breakfast may just get more fun!
