Medialink Wireless Broadband Router – Blazing Fast and Secure

If you’ve been putting off upgrading your home Wi-Fi network, now’s a great time to take advantage of the improved technology, speed and security available with the latest round of Wi-Fi wireless routers. Even if you don’t currently have a Wi-Fi network setup in your home and you’ve finally decided to take the plunge, we’ve got a great recommendation for the first-time wireless networker as well.
The Medialink Wireless Broadband Router is the perfect choice for the seasoned wireless networker looking to upgrade their older technology and for the first-time home wireless networker as well. The speed and bandwidth provided by the latest Wi-Fi technology is significantly better than the previous generations of wireless routers. The Medialink Wireless Broadband Router supports the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi protocol giving you bandwidth and speeds up 150Mbps (megabits per second). That’s over 15 times faster than the 802.11b protocol and almost 3 times faster than the previous generation of 802.11g Wi-Fi routers.
In fact, if you’ve been comfortably hanging on to the Wi-Fi router running in your home that you purchased 2 or 3 years ago, you may be missing out on vastly improved speeds and performance that 802.11n broadband wireless routers bring over the previous 802.11g and 802.11b devices. As cable modem and DSL modem bandwidth has improved and increased, many people don’t realize that their old Wi-Fi router from a few years back may actually become the bottleneck in their home network.
The other important area that’s critical to keep up with is security. The Medialink Wireless Broadband Router supports the latest security protocols including:
- WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
- WPA and WPA2 Security Protocol
- WEP, TKIP, and AES – 64 and 128 Bit Encryption
Security and encryption are essential to protect your home wireless network from intrusion and hackers that can easily break-in, jump on your network and even breach your computers that you have sitting on your home wireless network. Unfortunately, the previous generation of Wi-Fi devices that only support the older security protocols like WEP virtually leave the door wide open. Enjoying the convenience of wireless networking in the home is great but be sure you keep your home network secure and locked down with the latest secure technology including WPA, WPA2 and AES 128 bit encryption.
Installation is easy with the Medialink Wireless Broadband Router. The Medialink Wi-Fi router is compatible with all the standard computer operating systems including Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP (32 and 64 Bit), Vista (32 and 64 Bit), Windows 7 (32 and 64 Bit), Mac OS X and Linux. And setup and configuration is a breeze with the EZ Connect Setup Wizard.
The Medialink Wireless Broadband Router provides all the additional features and functions you need in one compact device including a 4-port Ethernet switch (if you’d also like to attach some Ethernet wired devices), a secure and easily configured Firewall and a DHCP server as well (to automatically allocate and assign IP addresses on your internal home wireless network).
One of the nifty features we like as well with the Medialink Wireless Broadband Router is the internal antenna. You’re probably familiar with the external antennas on the older devices. The Medialink broadband router conceals the antenna on the inside of the device and still delivers the full coverage and signal reach throughout your home wireless network. That’s sleek! And slick!
Now here’s the best part. You get all of this cutting-edge wireless network function and technology for a terrific low price. The Medialink Wireless Broadband Router is super affordable at only $44.99 at Amazon. No wonder this is one of the most popular Wi-Fi broadband routers available!

Glo Nightlight with Glowing Balls

As a child, you surely must remember the night terrors that possessed you as you were trying to sleep. Well, it is an unfortunate cycle that your children now would probably have the same problem. Nightlights help but just barely because they can only light up a small part of your bed. The bedside table would be the normal place to put the nightlight but under the bed and in the closet would be the place your kids are most wary of.
That is where the Glo Nightlight with Glowing Balls comes in. It certainly looks the part because the structure has three bases arching out – almost like something out of an alien movie. What these arching bases actually do is recharge your glowing balls ensuring that the balls emit a light which will illuminate whichever part of the room that your little one wants it to be in.
The best thing is that you can place it anywhere and it will slowly go off after 30 minutes of usage. It is pretty handy and the perfect time for your kids to fall asleep. It is even safe for them to hold because it does not use any electronics whatsoever so it won’t be too hot to handle. If your children have any problems sleeping at night, the Glo Nighlight with Glowing Balls is the perfect solution. For your – and their – peace of mind, this would be the perfect nightlight for them. It is only $79.99 which is a bargain for something that will help them sleep easier at night.

Perspiration fills your face as you look out the window on a hot summer day. You have been travelling in the backseat down this road for hours and still no signs of nearing the destination. You suddenly remembered the portable DVD player you once thought of buying.
Portable DVD players are no strangers to the technological era. In fact, various designs have been introduced for nearly a decade. However, the Hammacher Schlemmer’s Palm Sized DVD player (priced at $149.95) is a totally new design. This DVD player measures 6 inches in diameter, which is compact enough to fit on your palm and can be easily stored in a bag or a suitcase.
Being incredibly small compared to the other variants in the market, this DVD player features a 3 and a half inch TFT screen to deliver sharp video and images in 640 X 240 pixels on two different aspect ratios; 4:3 or 16:9. Audio, on the other hand, can be delivered by two built-in 1-watt stereo speakers or through a headphone. Traversing bumpy or uneven roads is no longer a problem when anti-skip circuitry kicks in while a built in stand adjusts for viewing in various angles.
Besides that, the device is capable of playing various video formats and comes integrated with a USB port and memory card reader. Usually, a single charge can last up to a 1 and a half hour of playback but with the car adapter, finishing a lengthy movie should not be a problem.

One thing I love about my job is that I come across all sorts of weird albeit interesting gadgets. Something which caught my eye recently is the credit card light bulb. If you have never heard of it, I am not surprised because it isn’t something that you see every day. However, it did get me chuckling and once the novelty wears off, you do realise that it is a pretty interesting idea!
Basically, the credit card light bulb is the same size as your normal credit card; only it is slightly thicker. In the middle, it has a light bulb shaped cut out feature which actually emits light when you pull it up. The bottom part which remains horizontal then serves as a stand to keep the Credit Card Light Bulb stabilised.
If you still don’t see the sense in this gadget, picture this scenario. Have you ever had problems finding money or things in your wallet? Ever had that sinking feeling that there used to be some money stashed in somewhere there but you can’t find it? Well, that is where the credit card light bulb comes in. It is perfectly functional in that sense not to mention extremely creative and devastatingly cute.
Keep your friends fascinated with this invention and they will soon be asking you where you got the credit card light bulb. Extremely cute and very interesting, the credit card light bulb retails at only $4.99. Perfectly affordable at that price, why not buy one today and show off to your friends?
