It can be a very frustrating thing when you try to shield your body from the rain but your umbrella gives way to the wind and turns inside out, defeating the purpose of a rain-shielding umbrella. Sadly, this situation has become increasingly common, with low quality and ill designed umbrellas being sold everywhere.
To combat problems brought by wind, the Traditional Doorman’s Umbrella is specially designed to defy wind. This umbrella has a 62” canopy, allowing room for two to shelter from the rain or sun. The Traditional Doorman’s Umbrella is able to resist gusts of wind up to 35 miles per hour and still retain its shape. Winds at this speed will turn most umbrellas inside-out.
The Traditional Doorman’s Umbrella has an intelligent mechanism within it, to help it resist wind. This model of umbrella is incorporated with an overlapping vent system which is patented. The system used the 8 reinforced slits in the umbrella canopy to disperse wind, significantly reducing the pressure that turns umbrellas inside-out. Hence, the common problem of inversion faced when using an umbrella can be defeated with ease when you use the wind-defying Traditional Doorman’s Umbrella. Besides, this special wind-defying umbrella also comes with pinchless runners, fibreglass ribs and spreaders that are free from corrosion, as well as a nylon storage sleeve.
The Traditional Doorman’s Umbrella with a fibreglass shaft and a straight handle opens and closes manually. This wind-defying umbrella, a product exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, can be yours at just $34.95.

A cycling machine must be one of the most popular fitness gadgets in many people homes. However, whenever I am on my bike I always want to watch or do something on the internet. In the past I have tried positioning the bike next to a table within reach but it just isn’t quite comfortable whilst cycling. With today’s cycling and fitness gadget called the Fitdesk you will be able to do a workout and check your emails or watch YouTube videos at the same time.
The Fitdesk is unique in the sense that its patent pending design allows users to rest their elbows on the support surface enabling them to support their body whilst exercising freeing their hands to control the mouse and type on the keyboard. A second feature to the Fitdesk is that it can be folded up quickly and easily for transporting to storage areas if required. Finally, the Fitdesk is designed in a way that your laptop will be held securely, no need to worry about it falling off the bike as there is grip pads and universal straps to hold it tight.
If you are worried about getting tired too quickly then do not worry; the Fitdesk contains resistance controls to make the cycling as easy or as hard as you want. How much for the Fitdesk? just $230 which does not sound too bad. It’s a pity that the designers of the Fitdesk cannot design an add-on for bikes already on the marketplace as I can see many people buying this if they already own a bike.
