The above picture displays a wireless pet barrier suitable for dogs from 5 to 200 lbs. What’s a wireless pet barrier I hear you ask? Well, a wireless pet barrier is a device which allows you to train your dog to stay away from certain items of furniture or stopping them from entering specific rooms. To use it effectively, the electric dog collar is placed around your dog’s neck and the wireless transmitter is positioned at the location you want the dog to stay away from. The transmitter creates an effective 2″ to 12″ diameter zone which when entered by the dog and its collar induces a small mild static shock. Dogs do not like this weak shock therefore turn away from that location. Over time the dog learns and is taught to avoid these areas otherwise they may suffer a static shock.
