Booster Blades Inline Skates

There is lots of innovation going on in the inline skating world and this latest gadget is up there with the best of them. The Booster Blades unique design means they have all the advantages of normal inline skates, however have a mechanism which allows the rider to propel themselves easier and with less effort than conventional skates via a “stepping” action (check out the youtube video of the Booster Blades in action to see what we mean). Moving the heel back engages the brake pad therefore allowing you to to slow down or stop easily.

The lock-down mechanism makes putting the skates on and taking them off easy and is operated by pushing in a knob on the side of the chassis and twisting it one-half turn when the mechanism is in the down position. Twisting it back to its original position allows the knob to pop out again, releasing the lock.

The Booster Blade Inline Skates are priced at £299.

Vibrating Shape Slimming Belt

Well for those of you who are wanting to lose a bit of weight around your midsection or get those washboard abs (6-pack) that girls go crazy over the Vibro Shape could be the answer (notice i said could).  The manufacturer claims to help you lose body fat simply by positioning the belt on the area of body you want to lose weight from, i.e the stomach, shoulder, hips, and thighs. How does it work then? Well without getting too technical or biological, the Vibro Shape slimming massager stimulates fat cells into fatty acid glycerol which is then excreted as sweat.

Nike Precool Vest

If you live in a warm climate but can’t afford air conditioning we have the perfect answer for you. Nike’s PreCool Vest was designed with the Beijing Olympics climate in mind.

The technology behind it is relatively simple. The vest is filled with water which is what gives the vest the triangular pattern. This water is frozen and then worn before an event to cool the body down preventing overheating. The outside fabric of the PreCool vest contains Aluminum which helps maintain the cool temperature.

How is this useful? Well typically when a body overheats it wastes energy trying to cool itself down wasting essential energy which would have been used during exercise, preventing this happening should in theory offer better performances.
