The concept of wearable computers is always exciting and fascinating. This idea allows you to operate computer from the tip of your fingers and use with both of your hands for the normal routine work when needed. Eurotech has transformed this concept into reality and announced to release a new wearable computer known as the Eurotech Zypad WL 1500. The Eurotech Zypad WL 1500 wearable computer is especially designed for the field workers and medical professional who require a device that can be operated with one hand.

The Eurotech Zypad WL 1500 computer is worn on your wrist just like a wrist watch. This latest device comes with a 3.5-inch color TFT LCD display screen with a resistive touch panel which supports QVGA resolution of up to 320 x 240 pixels. The backlight of screen is controlled by an ambient light sensor for making it easier to read and to control the power used. It is powered by a Marvell PXA320 processor and runs on the Microsoft Windows CE 6.0 Operating System.

The Eurotech Zypad WL 1500 includes a 12-key keyboard along with the touchscreen. It supports 128 MB of SDRAM and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The gadget has a hot swappable battery that offers operation time of up to 8 hours. It also includes some exciting features such as 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, integrated GPS, optional 3G, a speaker, a 2.5-inch audio jack, an integrated mic and a SIM card slot.

The Eurotech Zypad WL 1500 will be available in the second quarter of this year. Euotech claims that this new wearable computer is lighter and faster than other wearable devices and provides a longer battery life and various options. The features versatility and hand-free convenience make it very special to Emergency Services, Defense, Security, Maintenance, Health care and where hands free access to information is essential.
