OCZ Slate express card is a wonderful way out for laptop owners who are always looking for additional storage space, OCZ slate express card is available in capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB which are big enough for storing valuable files while using the always unoccupied ExpressCard 34 slot. OCZ Slate express card is similar to other flash or pen drives but it’s placed in an Expresscard. The performance of this card is very decent with 30MB/S and up to 15 to 17 MB/S writing speed.
The card is not equipped with the PCI Express interface therefore USB 2.0 will always continue to be the bandwidth bottleneck for it. This card is particularly useful to store music, pictures and photos. If you are not planning to get a 3G wireless modem card and if the express card slot of your laptop is not utilized, then the slate is something which you can take a look at as an effortless storage option.
