DIY Pulse Laser Gun
April 5, 2011 by Sharon

Who doesn’t fancy quirky guns? What’s more to say when it’s a DIY gun? One particular gun that captured our attention was the DIY Pulse Laser Gun personally made by hobbyist Patrick Priebe. It may looks like a gun from the movie Star Wars but it’s definitely not a toy to be messed with.
The best thing of it is that it was handmade and it works. So what is so cool about this gun? Well, obviously it shoots laser. Although it is a small gun, it has a small pulse laser head that can fires up to 1 Mega watt pulse of coherent infrared light. With that, it can pierce through balloons, plastic, razor blade and 5mm of Styrofoam. It is also gifted with 50 shots which is battery powered.
Not only that, it has an effective range of 3 meters. Because the casing was made with brass and aluminum along with the center plate of plexi, this cool gadget weighs about 850g approximately to 2 pounds and the length is 320mm long equivalent to 13 inches.
It is not advisable for this gun to be used by light-hearted people because it is a dangerous weapon and a very powerful DIY gadget that must be used with extreme caution. It is also defnitely not a toy that’s suitable for children. You may contact Patrick Priebe if you want one, but it may be a long while until you can get your hands on it because it took him 70 hours just to make one laser gun.
