Well it is able to faciliatate video transfer and images from a camcorder to your computer by a docking station. Installation is simple; the video transferring software is loaded onto the computer when the dock is connected.  Configuration is even simpler, there is none Everything is fully configured and files transferred are stored in the folder you specify.
