Establishing the authenticity of real diamonds is a difficult task even for experienced jewelers when a real diamond is compared with a Cubic zirconia crystal. However the DiamondNite Moissanite gadget aims to solve this problem. The diamond tester is a hand held gadget which produces a beeping noise when brought into contact with a real diamond and remains silent when tested on non diamond substances.

No information is provided on the logic behind the DiamondNite Moissanite tester, although it’s believed that analysis of the light properties over a spectrum could clearly identify the substance being tested. Priced at $199, doubts remain over its ability to identify synthetic and well designed diamonds over real diamonds however it does in theory sounds like a decent and useful gadget.
