Ever thought that even jars can emit lights. Well, here are jars that can store solar energy and emit the lights in the dark. Called as Sun jars and Moon jars, they contain a highly efficient solar cell, a rechargeable battery and LED lamps that glow in the dark. The rechargeable battery used is standard AA size battery. When the jar comes in direct contact of sunlight, the solar cell generates electric current which is used to charge the battery. The jars take a few hours to get fully charged. The energy stored in the battery can then be used to light the 3 LEDs during night time.

The light is diffused from the jars and it gives the feel of sunlight getting emitted from the sun or moon light getting emitted from the moon. What is more interesting to notice is that there are no visible controls. The jar is provided with sensors that automatically activate the LEDs during the night time. a switch is provided inside to turn off the LEDs.

These jars are not only beautiful but also water tight. Hence, they can be used in any weather conditions. They can be used as garden lights are can be used in the drawing rooms to create a nice serene ambience.
