Many people reading this blog will not know what a cassette tape is, nevertheless for the oldies amongst us here is a gadget which will convert your music on cassette tapes onto a computer in MP3 format. Saving old cassette tapes to a digital format means that all your old music is stored more safely and securely. For the youngsters, let’s just say that cassette tapes are not the most reliable of music storage devices.

To use the TapeWriter simply plug it into your computer via the USB port, then place the tape in the deck and press play. The music can be played via the internal speaker of the TapeWriter indicating what you are listening is actually what is being recorded and stored on the computer as an MP3.

    well most of us will be useing cds but i must admit i have some old tapes lying around that could do with backing up
