Washable Cashmere Blanket

When it is really cold outside, nothing is more snug and comfortable than a cashmere blanket. After all, it is safe yet protects you from the freezing weather at the same time. However, washing time can be a chore because cashmere can’t simply be placed in the washing machine. Then, there is also the matter of putting it outside to dry.
In cold weather, it is more liable to have ice form on the blanket if you hang it on the clothes line! What if I told you that there is an answer to all your problems? Someone is actually selling a washable cashmere blanket! Seriously, you wonder why no one thought of this before because it has to be the greatest invention since sliced bread.
It is 50% cashmere, 25% acrylic and 15% pure New Zealand wool which mean that you get the softness of cashmere without having to deal with hand washing all the time. Even after all the washing and spinning in your machine, you will find that these washable cashmere blankets are still soft to the touch with the ability to keep you warm even in the coldest of days. You have your choice of three colours namely Sky Blue, Natural or Clover. Of course, you can be like me and opt for all three. After all, you can never have enough blankets especially during winter.
The washable cashmere blanket is imported so expect a pretty expensive price tag. It retails at $449.95 which definitely isn’t for the faint hearted. However, it is a rather small price to pay for such a huge convenience, don’t you think?

Math Equation Clock

The Math Equation Clock (Green) seems to be designed with math geeks and techies in mind. Each hour of the clock has an equation in place of the usual digits. Solving the equation will give you the hour of each time. For example, the equation seeking the square root of 16 is placed in the position where the number 4 can usually be found. No doubt this will give math enthusiasts more reason to check the time while giving the rest of you a major brain workout trying to solve the equations.
The Math Equation Clock comes in numerous other designs with different colors and different equations. The Green edition is not only pro-Math but pro-environment as well. Its high-quality movement is mounted to a recycled acrylic stand while its clock face is etched with laser on a DVD. Even its black background is made from a classic 5-and-a-quarter inch floppy disk. The adage nothing goes to waste rings true with this invention.
You can get the Math Equation Clock (Green) at US$15 each, which is a reasonable price. No doubt hanging one of these will add some flavor to your house decor. It would also serve as the perfect gift for any relative or friend who is enthusiastic about calculations and formulas. If you are looking to boost your child’s mathematical skills, you can get him one to hang in his bedroom. Perhaps it will motivate him to improve on his mathematics test scores.

Any Apple fans out there? If so, hopefully your reaction to this gadget was the same as mine….Wow, I want one! Designed by Andrew Kim, this holding device for an iPad, iPhone, iPod, and stylus is called the Polyply (named after what it is made with). Specifically, the Polyply is made out of acrylate polymer (acrylic plastic), birch plywood and birch. Designed to keep all your mobile items in one place, the Polyply has the added benefit of holding the Apple gadgets in a way that allows them to be charged.
Word or warning though, the Polyply has been designed with compatibility the of iPad, iPod Classic, and iPhone 4. We like this concept and hope it gets taken further, we also like the iMac in the background, nice touch.
