Defusable Alarm Clock

Like any other ordinary college student, I have always had a hard time waking up early for classes. I was always skipping my morning classes even though I set 3 alarm clocks to wake me up daily. That was then that my mum decided to do something about this issue when she finally found out. I was surprised to receive an email from her the other day in which she attached a picture of this clock.
I was, of course, surprised when I first saw the bomb-shaped alarm clock or its correct name the Defusable Alarm Clock. Then, as I looked closer at the image only did I realize that it was actually an alarm clock. It works like any other ordinary alarm clock with the normal alarm beep or the snooze feature. The big red button, when pressed will then activate the countdown, just like a bomb would look like in the movies.
Once the countdown starts, I would only have 10 seconds to choose the right wire to cut out of the four. Only one wire will stop the countdown and another detonates the whole thing all over. Once it is detonated, the wires are randomly assigned on their role again. The wires are easily replaceable everytime it is cut.
I am very excited to have this alarm clock to be added into my personal ‘collection’ of clocks and but I am certain that this would be the standout among them. Mum was as excited as I am about it too. Waking up every morning would be so challenging that you won’t be missing any sun rise anymore!

If you have a habit of cancelling out your alarm when it goes off and end up oversleeping in the morning, the Omnipotent Alarm Clock may be perfect for you. I don’t know exactly how many alarms you need to wake up, but this unique alarm clock has 21 alarms that can be set for specific times and programmed to different buzzers or 20 different AM/FM radio stations. Talk about variety!
14 of the alarms equipped can be set to go off at two different times, which is especially useful if there two people with different morning schedules using it. The other seven alarms can be set to go off at the same time every day. Like most alarm clocks, the Omnipotent Alarm Clock is equipped with a stubborn sleeper’s favourite snooze button.
The time interval between alarms can be adjusted from just one minute to thirty minutes for a little extra sleep, and can even be programmed to be reduced to half the time each time it is pressed. If you need it, you can also set nap timers from 20 minutes to two hours.
The options on the Omnipotent Alarm Clock can also be easily tweaked with just two dials and a few simple buttons, and it also has an input to connect your MP3 player to. The alarm clock weighs 1.75 pounds and retails at $59.95. It may be slightly more expensive than your typical alarm clock, but would you prefer to be late for work yet again?

If you are someone who stubbornly refuses to wake up no matter how loud or how long your alarm clock rings, then you will definitely be rudely awakened by the Thunderclap Alarm Clock. Not just your normal alarm clock, the Thunderclap Alarm Clock can bet set by up to 113-decibels.
If you’re not sure how loud that can be, then think “thunder” and you have a pretty good idea. If you’re worried about how it might affect your hearing after continuous usage, the 113-decibel range is just the maximum you can go. Set the alarm to different decibels which are most suitable for you.
I love this alarm clock because it is not your usual run of the mill clock. Instead of just relying on the use of loud sounds to get you up, you can also pre-set LED lights to flash on and off when the alarm is coming on. Does that scare you enough to want to wake up in time? Are you still asleep after the alarm AND the flashing lights? Well, the set also comes with a vibrating pad that you can place under your mattress. Think thunder and earthquake and catastrophe and you’ve got a pretty good image in your head of how it will be like to be awakened by the Thunderclap Alarm Clock!
For only $34.95, I think it is definitely a bargain. After all, not only are you investing in an alarm clock, you are saving in time spent on struggling to get up and finding yourself late numerous times.

Quietly Wake Up With the Un-Alarm Clock

I am not a morning person; I like my sleep just as much as anyone else. There are some mornings where the alarm clock goes off and I really struggle to get up. However, it has been claimed that it is not only what time you wake up but also how you wake up that can determine how you feel when you wake up.
Typically people set an alarm clock or the alarm on their phone in order to wake up at a precise time, this results in a loud buzzer that awakens you from the lovely dream world. Having a buzzer going off when you are in a totally relaxed state is guaranteed to put you in a bad mood, not a great start to the day! The other problem is that quite often the alarm clock will not only wake you up but also you partner and people in bedrooms in close proximity.
The answer to this problem is the Un-Alarm Clock. The Un-Alarm Clock is made up of a charging dock and a wristband. The wristband is worn by the user whilst asleep. During sleep, the wristband micromovement sensor monitors sleep behavior such as how long it takes to get to sleep and the number of times you woke. This information is sent to your mobile device so that you can review the data. This is essential as it can tell you if you are waking up during the night which could be causing the tiredness in the morning.
The Un-Alarm Clock is really easy to use, simply enter the time you would like to be woken up on your iPhone (Android compatibility coming soon) and the wristband will gently wake you up by vibrating. This ensures that you wake up without a loud buzzing noise and also only wakes the user wearing the wristband up.
The charger is used to recharge the Li-Ion battery within the wristband; it can charge the wristband during the day and at night pop your phone on to recharge that.

Most cell phone owners make use of their cell phone alarms to wake up in the morning. Although there is a digital time display which is large and bright on the iPhone compared to your normal alarm clock, you may have some trouble seeing the displayed time from afar when you use your iPhone as a clock at night, especially when you are not wearing any glasses. If this is the case, not to worry, as iLive’s Clock Radio Dock will certainly do the trick by cleverly increasing the size of your iPhone’s time display. Besides iPhone’s, this clock radio dock also supports iPods.
This clock radio dock by iLive does not use a digital display, but uses the clock hands and the number 12 from your iPhone or iPod’s display, together with its traditional analog clock face. However, the clock hands are a little small, but together with the dock, it serves the function.
The clock radio dock comes with dual alarms, waking you up either by music, beeping sounds or radio. The backup alarm functions even without your iPod or iPhone plugged in, making sure you wake up on time every day. You can also utilize the dock’s sleep timer and snooze, as well as make use of its full function remote for your convenience.
With it, you won’t have to worry about having to squint in the middle of night trying to make out the time on your iPhone screen. You can get the iLive Clock Radio Dock from the iLive’s online store for just $49.99.
