Integrated Bedside Lamp Within A Book

Bedside lamps, let’s be honest are pretty standard. They typically feature a light bulb and shade with a base keeping it upright. If you are happy with your beside lamp then you probably don’t need to read the rest of this post, however if you fancy something a bit different then read on.

The best feature of the Bedside Lamp Book must be the opening and closing of the book to turn on and off the lamp. Hidden within the book is the bulb that power is supplied to when the cover it opened providing enough light to read the book at night

The Integrated Bedside Lamp within a book is a very creative design and one I think will appeal to a lot of people, especially bookworms out there that enjoy reading before they go to bed. What’s good about this gadget is that you can make it yourself; all you need is a book that you are willing to sacrifice, time, and some diy skills. A little bit of soldering work along with a bit of joinery and you have yourself a home-made bedside lamp incorporated into a book

We have not covered many bedside lamp related gadgets in the past so maybe this will be the start of things to come.

Also, five different types of nature sounds will be played through an integrated speaker to help soothe the mood of the fishes. This virtual aquarium is able to hold up to 1 ½ quarts of water and AA batteries are needed for the cloak to operate. Dog Poop Park Lamp

Imagine a park where dog poop was encouraged? Better still – where they found it useful.

A park in Cambridge is using what is known as Park Spark to light its lamp. The way it works is simple.

The dog owner collects the dog’s poop and puts it into the park spark container. The poop is then converted into methane gas and used for energy purposes to light the park lamps.

This system lets dog owners enjoy the park as well as gives dog poop matter some concrete use, instead of being a pain to deal with. One can never tell, but who knows maybe one day everything will run on dog poop.

Sun and Moon Jars

Have you ever thought that even jars can emit beautiful? Well, here are jars that can store solar energy and emit a beautiful glow of light in the dark. These are called Sun and Moon jars, they contain a highly efficient solar cell, a rechargeable battery and LED lamps that glow in the dark. The rechargeable battery used is standard AA size battery.

When a Sun and Moon Jar comes in direct contact of sunlight, the solar cell generates electric current which is used to charge the battery. The jars take a few hours to get fully charged. The energy stored in the battery can then be used to light the 3 LEDs during night time.

The light is diffused from the jars and it gives the feel of sunlight getting emitted from the sun or moon light getting emitted from the moon. What is more interesting to notice is that there are no visible controls. The jar is provided with sensors that automatically activate the LEDs during the night time. And a switch is provided inside to turn off the LEDs.

These Sun and Moon Jars are not only beautiful but also water tight. Hence, they can be used in any weather conditions. They can be used as garden lights are can be used in the drawing rooms to create a peaceful and serene ambience.
