Tracking your run

One has always been able to track someone running through a sensor in the shoe and an iPhone or iPad that can do the trick. However this latest gadget allows us to do away with the sensor.
With the Nike+ GPS app, the GPS device in your iPhone can now be used to follow the runner along the roads through a map, tracking his path, speed and timing. These can be recorded and you can compare it to your previous running timings and rhythm, as it can compare even sections of the race that are in progress.
If this doesn’t succeed in getting you out on the track with those shoes on, I don’t believe anything else will.

Nike self lacing shoes

Have you had days when you’re just too lazy to even tie your shoelace? I sure have, but the news I heard today made my lazy heart rejoice (without moving my body – remember I’m lazy).
Nike is seeking a patent for a shoe that laces itself. I wonder how that would work. Do you put your foot it and it magically works it stuff like in the movies?
It is interesting to note that a while ago, someone had come out with a self lacing shoe but it was not pretty and didn’t sell. I mean who wants to walk around in ugly sneakers even if it is self lacing?
Do you have any names for ISS Module launched by NASA

Seems NASA is in distress. No they’ not looking for astronauts. Apparently they have plenty of good astronauts. If they lack in anything, then its a name.
Yes they’re looking for an appropriate name for their ISS module. The International Space Station module, commonly known as the ISS module has been successfully launched by NASA. But they still seem to be in a look out for a moniker for their latest launch.
If your mind has already in the process of christening the International Space Station module, then you have to give it a halt here itself. Yes, they do need a good name. But such a name that synchronizes with Harmony and Unity, the two previous modules launched by NASA. According to NASA officials, their latest ISS module is a follow up of the earlier two versions and they are thus looking forward to a name that coordinates with Unity and Harmony, giving the effect of being their successor. If you believe it, this is the task that is keeping NASA officials busy at the moment.
The International Space Station module is a unit which will work as a location to note observations. The ISS module is also tasked to be the spot to control the robotic arm.
With such specifications, indeed NASA has been stuck looking for an appropriate name! So now after reading the entire narrative, if you still can think of a good and right name that can suit the International Space Station module and can bring out its features properly, taking care of the fact that it sounds like a disciple of its too predecessor, then your ideas for a suitable name are more than welcome by NASA.
Nike: PreCool Vest

If you live in a warm climate but can’t afford air conditioning we have the perfect answer for you. Nike’s PreCool Vest was designed with the Beijing Olympics climate in mind.
The technology behind it is relatively simple. The vest is filled with water which is what gives the vest the triangular pattern. This water is frozen and then worn before an event to cool the body down preventing overheating. The outside fabric of the PreCool vest contains Aluminum which helps maintain the cool temperature.
How is this useful? Well typically when a body overheats it wastes energy trying to cool itself down wasting essential energy which would have been used during exercise, preventing this happening should in theory offer better performances.
