Apple’s latest update to their Mac mini offers a number of improvements; these include better CPU’s, better graphics, and improved operating system.  To put it simply Apple claims that the new Mac mini will ship with twice as much processor speed, twice the graphics speed, and the fastest, most versatile I/O in any desktop.

Specifically the Mac mini features the latest dual-core Intel Core i5 processors with a selection of either 2.3GHz or 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 or for the serious speedaholics amongst us the 2.7GHz Intel Core i7. These processors offer excellent performance and power making the Mac mini as powerful as computers many times its size. Along with a faster processor Turbo Boost 2.0 increases the clock speed of the processor to 3.4GHz more than adequate for most applications.  Hyper-threading or simultaneous multithreading of the CPUs ensures multiple tasks at once can be carried out without any loss in performance.
