R2-D2 Bike Helmet

If you happen to be a Star Wars fanatic, you will surely be impressed with the R2-D2 bike helmet. Jenn Hall, a Star Wars fan herself, designed and created this catchy bike helmet from a normal bike helmet.

Sparked by her passion for Star Wars gadgets, Jenn turned her motorcycle helmet into a R2-D2 helmet, satisfying her interests and improving its visual quality at the same time. Wholly made using Jenn’s own DIY method, the helmet transforming process comprised of the scuffing of the existing helmet paint, adding consecutive coats of spray paint, then arduous cutting and peeling of masking tape. After the spray job, accessories like PVC tubing and blinking lights are added. Finally, a heavy layer of clear coat is added, resulting in a livened up motorcycle safety helmet.

This R2-D2 Bike Helmet was only a one-off creation by Jenn Hall, and she has no plans for mass production at the meantime. Judging how fascinating and exquisite this helmet looks, it may be a piece of disappointing news that this R2-D2 helmet is not available for sale. However, good news is that she has generously provided a step-by-step guide in her blog instructing the creation process of the R2-D2 helmet, for the benefit of interested readers to make their own. Her instructions are easy to follow, so with some effort put in, you can have a customized R2-D2 helmet for yourself. With the DIY R2-D2 helmet, you can speed off on your motorcycle looking like R2-D2 from Star Wars.

    @richard field

    Apparently the girl in this photo made the R2-D2 bike helmet herself. Her name is Jenn Hall, she’s a pastry artist by day and a star wars fan by night.

    And you can follow her blog post where she explains how to make one for yourself …
