The iPhone Wireless Speaker

The iPhone Wireless Speaker is a wireless audio system that enables you to keep the iPhone handy as a remote control that transmits music to the wireless speaker and unlike other audio systems or devices which require the iPhone to remain docked, the wireless speaker does not. It uses a transmitter that is plugged into the iPhone’s 30 pin port and it pairs up with the speaker so it can be controlled at a distance of up to 50 feet away.

The iPhone Wireless Speaker does not employ a Bluetooth transmitter. Typically, a Bluetooth wireless system delivers compressed, muddy sound and is prone to ISM radio band interference. Instead, the iPhone Wireless Speaker transmitter delivers music over the 2.4GHz radio frequency band giving a full 44.1 Khz of bandwidth to provide compact disc quality audio for the 32 watt speaker. The transmitter can stream audio wirelessly to up to three separate speakers.

And the iPhone that it is paired with can control the equalizer, pause, play, song change and volume setting. Other than that, the speakers RCA input has a connection for an audio CD player and other device similar to it and the output has direct connection to additional wired speakers.

The iPhone wireless speaker is compatible with the iPhone 3, 1st and 2nd generation iPod Touch, iPad and iPad 2. The speaker plugs into an AC adaptor. The dimensions for the wireless speakers are 8 inches in height, 16 inches in width and 4 ½ inches in depth. The total weight is about 6 pounds and retail price for this item is at around $199.95.
