Ornithology? Unless your into birds your probably didn’t know that is what the study of birds is called. Now, if I am honest I not much of a bird enthusiast, however I know there is loads of people out there that are, so this gadget is for you. The Bird Songs Audio Book is an audio archive of the sound of every breeding bird in North America, in total 747 birds. The songs have been recorded and compiled by Macaulay Library at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and have been made available to purchase.
I’m assuming that it must help when studying birds that even if you cant see them, it must be quite satisfying being able to hear and distinguish one bird from another. Included in the Bird Songs Audio Book is a field guide highlighting a specific birds sound, distribution, location, and behavioural characteristics.
In addition to aiding the identification of a bird by song and sound, the Bird Songs Audio Book has a comprehensive illustration of species color including crests, plumage, bills, beaks, claws, and spurs.

Glass Panes for Birds

If you have a heart for those stray birds that bang against your glass pane in
flight, then I probably think this was made just for you.
Arnold Glas – a German company – created a spider web glass that while look
like an ordinary pain to us, can be seen as a huge web to the birds. The secret
behind it is an ultraviolent coating that diverts birds away from the pane.
With statistics showing that around 100 million birds die by banging into a
window pane, I guess we can say that this is the pane to go with from now on.
