Featuring bioelectric impedance technology the scales are able to determine body fat percentage by passing a bioelectric current through the entire body of the individual standing on it.

The unit has been tested by the University of Illinois-Chicago and the results of the investigation were that this gadget is more accurate at calculating body fat percentages than competitive products with a 0.11% difference between that and the beam scale weight measurement. One of the reasons for this is that the Body Composition Measuring Scale uses 6 sensors to determine overall body composition. The unit display is easy to use and allows up to four body composition profiles to be measured and stored for 180 days.
