When I was at school, science was my favorite subject, Why? Well I loved mixing chemicals together and most of all looking at things under the microscope during Biology classes.
Â
Nikon, have released a great gadget for adults like me who want to recreate some of their childhood memories. The product is called the Nikon Fabre Photo EX and is a camera attachment that turns the whole setup into a pretty powerful portable digital microscope. The Fabre Photo EX hardware is easy to setup, simply just screw it into the lens mounting on your camera. Utilizing a DSLR sensor (and a mixture of mirrors, lenses, etc) images of up to 45X magnification can be taken.
Â
The Nikon Fabre Photo EX is powered by one Alkaline AA battery which gives enough power to operate the microscope for ten hours. The battery also provides power for the LED light for working in dim conditions altering shading and brightness.
