I have always wondered why computer keyboards has the keyboard layout it does, i.e. QWERTY instead of being in alphabetical order (if anyone knows please enlighten me). Well the Fast Finger keyboard gives you up to three options as to how you would like the keys on the keyboard to be arranged.
Firstly, by selecting the ‘ABC’ button on the keyboard the keys can be used in alphabetical order; secondly, deselecting the ‘ABC’ button brings the Fast Finger keyboard back to the standard QWERTY keyboard; thirdly, selecting the ‘F’ key enables Instant Messaging (IM) abbreviations such as “lol” to be used by the function keys.

Every now and again here at Mint Gadgets I come across a gadget that I really like the look of and will go out and buy, the Keyscan is one of them. What appears on first glance just to be a standard USB keyboard hides a hidden secret, a scanning function. If you need to scan a page of a book or anything thicker than a normal piece of A4 paper then sweep the cobwebs away from the old scanner, however if its individual pages that are required then the Keyscan is the answer. The page to be photocopied is simply inserted into the top of the device and the scanned paper is fed through the device and exits at the bottom of the keyboard.
Check out the video of the Keyscan in action.
System Requirements:
- PC compatible
- USB2 port a built in USB2 port, (direct connection to the PC USB2 is essential)
- 64 MB RAM
- 200MB free Hard Disk
- CD drive

Recent research into computer keyboards has highlighted the volume of germs harbored on a computer keyboard. Populations of bacteria twice as high as those found on toilet seats are reported. With all the inaccessible and difficult to clean areas on a computer keyboard its no wonder there are bacteria colonies growing.
Seal Shield has the answer to this problem. Specializing in manufacturing washable computer parts, Seal Shield have designed an antibacterial waterproof keyboard which utilizes silver ion technology to destroy bacteria when in contact with water.
