The Japanese company Toshiba is most popular for the mobile computing businessman and now  has released a new business laptop, namely Toshiba Tecra 840. The Toshiba Tecra 840 laptop integrates a lightweight body and superior battery life with great performance. The device is 25% thinner and 20% lighter than its predecessor. The laptop comes with a shock-absorbing design and has a unique honeycomb rib structure into a fiberglass reinforced chassis for increased durability and rigidity. It also includes an EasyGuard Technology which protects it from spills and accidental bumps.

The Toshiba Tecra 840 laptop is powered by the 2nd generation Intel Core i3 processor that delivers maximum performance when you require it the most. The laptop comes with a 14” HD LED Backlit widescreen display and it is just about 1-inch thin. The device is also very light in weight i.e. only 4.2 pounds. New model includes the optional AMD discrete graphics to give you a better visual experience and its 1 GB of dedicated graphics memory is more sufficient to let you expand your view up to four screens at once.

There are so many connectivity options in the Toshiba Tecra 840 laptop available such as USB 3.0, an eSATA/USB Combo with USB Sleep and Charge technology, Express card, DisplayPort 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet and Docking connectors, Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR, Intel AMT 7.0 and Intel 802.11 a/g/n Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fire is a gadget for business and recreational travelers who require access to a wireless network.  Connected to and powered by a computer via a USB cable, the Wi-Fire features a powerful directional wireless antenna, sensitive receiver, and proprietary software to access Wi-Fi signals up to 1,000 feet away. With typical internal wireless adapters having a limited range the Wi-Fire will certainly prevent those dropped signal scenarios that people are often plagued by with wireless connections.

The only downside to the Wi-Fire is its not the most beautifully designed wireless networking gadget, nevertheless if it allows you to pick up a signal when others around you cant then I could live with it, couldnt you?
