LED Shower Light

We have featured a lot of techno gadgets lately so I thought it was about time we featured some home devices. We recently blogged about a Bath Lift and here is another bathroom gadget called the LED Shower Light. The picture above doesn’t do the gadget justice; the unique selling point is the LED light which changes color depending on the temperature of the water. For example, when the cold tap is on the LED displays a blue light and when the hot tap is on (89° F) the LED light turns to red. How is this useful? Well we have all jumped into the shower half asleep at one stage only to find the water freezing cold because we turned the cold tap on instead of the hot, well with this clever device the color could prevent this happening again.
The LED Shower Light can be fitted to standard shower heads in a matter of minutes, and to top it off no batteries are required. The unit is powered by an internal turbine which spins when the water is turned on making the gadget very efficient.
Features:
- Blue light means the water is cold; Red light means it has warmed up to 89° F (32° C).
- No batteries needed – powered by internal turbine.
- Installs in minutes to standard (3/4″) shower pipes.
- Includes a Flow Regulator that limits maximum water flow to 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi (might affect Shower Light performance depending on your water pressure).
Approx. 4″ in diameter
The LED Shower Light is priced at $39.99 and available from Thinkgeek.
