PIRIT Heated Hose

We often take where we live for granted, i.e. if I need to wash the car or water the garden I just pull my hose pipe out and press the trigger and hey presto the water comes out. But, what happens if you live somewhere cold where there is a chance that the hose pipe and any water inside it is frozen? Well the PIRIT Heated Hose is what you need.  Looking at the picture above you could be forgiven for thinking it’s just the same as any other hose pipe you may purchase from local DIY shops, however there is a difference.

The PIRIT Heated Hose pipe contains a wire heating element along its length which is connected to a plug. When the plug is inserted into a socket, power supplies the built in thermostat with the energy required to heat the copper wire which will defrost any ice forming within the hose pipe.  The thermostat automatically activated if the ambient temperature outside is below 95° F, and automatically shuts it off when the ambient temperature outside rises above 105° F.

Typical Uses of the PIRIT Heated Hose

  • Watering horses and livestock
  • Topping off an outdoor hot-tub
  • Spraying down the car or RV
  • For use on a job site, such as masonry work
  • Making a backyard hockey rink
  • Gardening
  • Frost protection
  • Small space heater
  • Melting ice on walkways

The PIRIT Heated Hose will likely set you back $189 for a 50 foot length and come with a Manufacturer one year warranty.
