Shower Aquarium

I can see how having a shower and owning a fish tank share similarities, i.e. there is a lot of water involved in both, however a designer has managed to encompass the two together. The Shower Aquarium that is manufactured by Cesana is custom built to customer specifications which encompasses a shower cubicle with a built in aquarium. Each unit is individual with no two designs being exactly the same.
This home gadget, or should I say bathroom gadget is designed to help you relax and cure any boredom whilst having a shower. The Italian bathroom manufacture has really pulled out the stops with this. If you are not a fish lover you can replace the fish tank with a TV, fireplace, or anything else that you fancy.
One thing that is strange about this design, the fish tank is see through so does that mean people on the other side of the fish tank can see you shower? If so then this unit would only be deployed within an en-suite bathroom with a lock on the bedroom door.
A quote from Cesana:
“Plano Acquario is based on the idea of enriching and personalising the simplicity and linear form of the Plano shower enclosure. Plano Acquario is a project made of a free standing wall, which can be used as a fifth wall for the Plano enclosure to create an almost transparent effect or can also represent an original room divider between one area of the bathroom and the other.”

I myself don’t have a preference between baths and showers, if I have plenty time I’ll take a bath if I’m in a hurry I’ll take a shower. However, for the shower people out there who withdraw from taking a bath because they don’t like the idea of sitting in “dirty water” then the Float Clear Bath Ball could be the answer. Through the power of absorption the Clear Bath Ball is able to remove dirt, grease, and residue from bath water allowing you to have a bath in nice clean water. To use it the Bath Ball is simply placed in the bath, once finished the dirt and grime that it has absorbed can be washed off under a tap or placed in the washing machine for more thorough cleaning. Personally, I don’t know how effective the Bath Ball is, however for $45 its probably worth a go.
Float Clear Bath Ball Features:
- Colors: Yellow or Green
- Antibacterial material
- Weight: 70g.
- Reusable
- Instructions: Japanese
Price: $45

I love my hot shower or baths in the morning. Quite frankly, if I had the option of having to wash in cold water or to stay smelly then I would stay smelly. This is a problem I have experiences when out camping. Lucky for me and those around me there is a solution, the Zodi Camp Shower.Â
The Zodi Camp Shower is heated by small propane tanks which are able to heat water up to 100 degrees and the pump for the shower requires 4 D batteries. In parallel to providing hot water, the Zodi Camp Shower has a large enough tank to allow 10 minutes of showering, more than enough time to get clean. So in essence, the Zodi Camp Shower provides On-demand hot-water bathing anywhere, anytime!
Zodi Camp Showers Features:

- Water temperature adjusts up to 100°F
- Easy to use

LED Shower Light

We have featured a lot of techno gadgets lately so I thought it was about time we featured some home devices. We recently blogged about a Bath Lift and here is another bathroom gadget called the LED Shower Light. The picture above doesn’t do the gadget justice; the unique selling point is the LED light which changes color depending on the temperature of the water. For example, when the cold tap is on the LED displays a blue light and when the hot tap is on (89° F) the LED light turns to red. How is this useful? Well we have all jumped into the shower half asleep at one stage only to find the water freezing cold because we turned the cold tap on instead of the hot, well with this clever device the color could prevent this happening again.
The LED Shower Light can be fitted to standard shower heads in a matter of minutes, and to top it off no batteries are required. The unit is powered by an internal turbine which spins when the water is turned on making the gadget very efficient.
Features:
- Blue light means the water is cold; Red light means it has warmed up to 89° F (32° C).
- No batteries needed – powered by internal turbine.
- Installs in minutes to standard (3/4″) shower pipes.
- Includes a Flow Regulator that limits maximum water flow to 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi (might affect Shower Light performance depending on your water pressure).
Approx. 4″ in diameter
The LED Shower Light is priced at $39.99 and available from Thinkgeek.
