With the advanced video recording abilities of mobile phones, camcorders seem to have been forgotten about. However, Sony aims to bring camcorders back into people’s thoughts with their latest offering, the Sony Handycam Camcorder with Projector.
Projector technology has been integrated into many modern day devices, for example check out the iPhone Video Projector. Up until recently very few companies other than Viewsonic and Nikon have attempted to attach projectors to camcorders. Sony believes they can better the Coolpix S1000 PJ and DVP5 projector camcorder currently available by these manufacturers with their Handycam camcorder.
One of the best features of the Sony camcorder is its ability to project an image or video 60” in diameter onto a surface such as a wall. This seems amazing when you view the size of the projector on the outside of the viewscreen. Why would you need this feature? This feature lets you share you pictures and videos with your friends or work colleagues without everyone having to be circling around the viewscreen.

Audio from the camcorder is excellent due to the enhanced sound technology incorporated into the Handycam. Crisp audio is picked up from the Zoom microphone and Sony’s Advanced Wind Noise Reduction reduces background interference and noise. Clear Phase stereo speakers and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and a digital amplifier technology produces perfect playback.
