Toshiba Qosmio F755 3D

If I said to you auto-stereoscopic display technology would you know what I was talking about? If not here is a basic explanation; auto-stereoscopy is a process by which stereoscopic images can be made to look 3D without the need to wear 3D glasses or similar viewing devices.

Now the next question is where can you find this technology? Well you can find it in Toshiba’s latest notebook called the Toshiba Qosmio F755. That’s correct; you will be able to view both 2D and 3D movies and images directly on the display screen without having to look silly whilst wearing those chunky glasses. The images are shown on a 15.6-inch screen that utilizes double parallax image display technology. The Toshiba Qosmio F755 features a resolution of 1920 x 1080 in 2D mode, and 1366 x 768 in 3D mode.

The double parallax image display sends two sets of images at the same time splitting it between the left and the right eye. Along with this an advanced webcam detection system determines the user’s position and auto-tunes the image display for the best performance based on the angle and distance of the user to the screen. By displaying both 2D and 3D images, users can watch videos or play games in 3D whilst switching to 2D to surf the internet or do work.

The Toshiba Qosmio F755 features some powerful hardware; this includes 2.0-GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM processor, 6GB RAM expandable to 8GB, Nvidia GeForce GT540M/1GB graphics card, Blue-ray rewritable optical drive, and a 5,400-rpm 750GB hard drive.

Forget the concept of windows with OLED Wallpaper

oled-wallpaper

Toshiba as always has done it again. If there is any company that knows how to make reel into real, it definitely is Toshiba. And this time again they have given a concept that is indeed out of the world. If you wondering whose brain works so fast and thinks such extraordinary concepts then again all the applause for selecting commendable executives goes to Toshiba. This time the company is busy creating something called an OLED, i.e., the Organic Light-Emitting Diode. Its an ultra thin display which the company claims can be used as a wallpaper for you home and thus transforming a mere wall into television. Now that sounds interesting. Isn’t it?

Lets see how it actually works. Nano particles get self assembled in the wallpaper that fabricates discordants that are immensely fine and are further used to redirect light which this wallpaper uses. But it seems that the commercial production of these wallpapers wont take place in the near future because of the extraordinary technology. Well definitely that can be disappointing as the entire project seems so intelligent that its difficult to resist the temptation of having a OLED wallpaper in your house. Just imagine when this OLED wallpaper will actually hit the market, how would be the scene like??? There would be no need to select a color for your wall. You could have an entire garden scene in your drawing room wall giving the feel of a big garden outside. No needs to get cartoon painted in your kids’ rooms walls when the entire Disney world can keep moving over the wall. And your wife always wanted a bright sunny morning to inspire her to cook?

Well, with OLED wallpapers, she could have whatever she wanted in her kitchen wall. Feels like living a dream??? Well one day with more advancement in technology, you will indeed live this dream. All it would take is some more patience.

Another day another new mobile phone released. This time its Toshiba and the rather stylish looking cell phone is called the TG01. Featuring a 4.1″ WVGA Touchscreen, the Toshiba TG01 comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 Operating System (OS) and a custom designed Toshiba User Interface (UI).

Toshiba TG01 Features
- HSDPA
- 3G
- GPS
- MicroSD card slot
- 800 x 400 Resolutions

A further feature to this mobile is a nifty piece of technology called the G-Sensor which allows the phone to be tilted which results in navigation around the central spot on the screen. I have no idea why you would really want to do that instead of just using the Touchscreen.

Toshiba have caught the eye with the impressive features and specifications of the TG01, oh yeah I nearly forgot to say the phone offers full flash support which means you can watch any flash video on the phone from the Internet.
