Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse from HP

Imagine being able to use your mouse via a Wi-Fi connection instead of a wire, USB dongle, or Bluetooth, well you will soon be able to. Utilizing Wi-Fi and Link-5 technology, HP plans to release a range of wireless mice and other devices that connect to a computer via their Wi-Fi connection. The hope is this will increase user experience and do away with wires completely or having to use a laptop’s touch pad.
The HP Wi-Fi Mobile Mouse has other benefits other than just being able to communicate with the computer, for example it has a battery life of nine-months. If anyone has used a wireless mouse in the past they will understand the benefit of this extended battery life.
The Wi-Fi gadget can also be used up to 30 feet away from the computer it connects to. As long as the mouse is within the Wi-Fi network range then the mouse will work as if its plugged in via a USB. I don’t think I will ever need this functionality; however some working environments and industries may find it useful.
The HP Wi-Fi mouse will come with 5 buttons that can be customized to provide functions such as copy, paste, highlight all, etc. along with 4 wheels to scroll up, down, left, and right.
Another device that HP are using their new Link-5 technology on are wireless keyboards. The release date for the HP Wi-Fi mobile mouse is sometime June and estimated price will be $49.95.
